Singapore, 4 May 2017 – PwC Singapore announced (announcement at 8.45am on 4 May 2017 by Yeoh Oon Jin, Executive Chairman, PwC Singapore) today the launch of two Impact Centres in data & analytics and cyber security, as it continues to grow its consulting business. These are strategic growth initiatives by PwC, aimed at helping companies and organisations become more data-driven and intelligent.
Said Pierre Legrand, PwC South East Asia Consulting, Technology Leader:
“With Singapore’s investment in the Smart Nation initiatives, advanced infrastructure and technologically fluent people, it’s not difficult to see how well positioned Singapore is to become recognised as a leader in data & analytics and cyber security. These Impact Centres have been designed to be a central source of expertise that can help companies and organisations leverage the power of data and create the workforce of the future.
“Data holds the key to the future where Intelligent companies will be driven by data which is analysed and acted upon by a high value workforce in real time, enabling better and more efficient decision making at all levels. The successful combination of man and machine will generate more value than either alone.
“On the flipside, the interconnectedness of systems and technology means that new threats and risks in the form of cyber present challenges. The Impact Centres will work hand in hand to help companies and organisations to be more adaptive and resilient to the unknown challenges ahead.”
Both the Analytics and Cyber Security Impact Centres are headquartered in Singapore and supported by the Economic Development Board (EDB).
Said Clarence Chua, Director of Professional Services, EDB:
“EDB welcomes PwC’s continued expansion in Singapore through the Analytics and Cyber Security Impact Centres, which will cater to enterprises seeking to harness these enabling capabilities in their digital transformational journey. We hope that they will develop innovative insights and solutions for Asia and globally, while strengthening the talent pool and skillsets.”
The Impact Centres will give companies and organisations from around the region and the world access to experts and experience from across the PwC global network to help them deal with the challenges of keeping pace in this era of digital disruption and to successfully transform for the future.
